Such a Windy Day

Coq au Vin...what a mouthful and delish. Last night just having a casual conversation with my wife while we were putting everything together, the chicken decides to take a turn towards the bad :(.

A recipe I'm familiar with but haven't made in quite a while loven the Pinot Grigio. I think it all started when my wife was on Facebook saying how her Mom was a Cancer survivor and I made the comment my Mom isn't. Man I felt a foot go right up my butt right after the comment left my lips. I should have never thought it. The chicken as it was browning turned black on the stove top and black smoke filled the kitchen. Mom.........I know your still around and watching over us.....

Everyone will be over again to enjoy Coq au vin coming up soon. You gotta Love it

May the spirits of Good fortune follow all you out there around in the coming weeks! :)

Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and welcoming me to the World of BLOG.

Lamb For Easter

Every year we visit one place or another for the annual dinner of Easter. One plate that is served is almost always is the Easter Lamb served succulent with Garlic cloves everywhere.

This is the year I'm the lucky guy who gets to make it and dear old mom won't be helping out; but, only in spirit. I am so used to cooking everything in the smoker and making Brisket this way and that..........That Lamb's going to come out like a Beef barbeque or a pulled pork.

It will all be good any way it goes down as long as we all gather together for the supper and have some laughs and share some drinks.

Have a Good Easter!

Starting to Get On

Words Not Spoken

Through good times and bad memories to last a lifetime
Life gives many a task one in which all will not pass
But our friendship has proven time and time again
That we will be there for each other...till the end.
Family exists in one's heart
Ones that no one can tear apart
You are one that can not be replaced
An individual...a shooting Star
One that will go very, very far
I never imagined us so far apart
But I guess i knew in my Heart
That our paths someday would part
You've helped me grow and learn
To think twice before I turn...and bridges burn.
Even though things sometimes were rough
You never turned away or said that's enough...and I thank you.

As this week progresses and time marches on, it is kinda tough to realize and appreciate what you have until it is almost gone. Don't take Life for granted. It is way to short. I have come in contact with a lot of long lost friends over the past few months I thought fell off the planet, but were just around the corner. This poem my little sis wrote was so beautiful for my MOM and she adored it when it was written so many years ago. I know we still have some closure with this week to finish up...
