Times Keep A Changin'

I look at how my kids have it made today vs how I had it back in the day. Looking back now it makes me smile....we let em off easy. I remember when my Grandma had me do the dishes one time and said you have to use a little bit of elbow grease to get those pans clean and I was looking all over underneath those darn cupboards for that bottle of Grease. Perplexed looked and all, I just couldn't understand why my MOM and Grandmother were laughing so hard at the time. Now I smile and try to get my kids to think about what they do and say before the words spill out of their heads into a verbal dilexia and into a random mess. Life is funny, but it is well worth the trip.

The Times Keep a Changin'!

Enjoy Your Week!

  1. Funny! I keep running across old euphemisms (quiet as a mouse being my fave) and my kids look at me like I'm nuts when I use them.

  2. So did you find the elbow grease yet? lol

You're lucky you didn't grow up in MY house. I could tell you stories...maybe over beer and wings when I make it back to Rochester! :)
